Fass Boye : Pour financer son voyage, le pompiste pioche plus de 3 millions FCFA dans la caisse
Gas station attendant L. Touré, residing in Fass Boye, appeared this Wednesday before the Thiès Magistrates' Court on charges of breach of trust. He is being sued by his employer, Mr. Touré, who accuses him of embezzling 3,128,000 FCFA, representing the revenue from fuel sales at his service station.
In court, the defendant did not contest the facts. He admitted to the embezzlement, explaining that he had used the money to cover his family expenses and finance his move abroad.
According to the evidence presented at the hearing, the amount embezzled represents the value of more than 5,000 liters of fuel sold at the station.
Having filed a civil suit, Mr. Touré is demanding full reimbursement of the 3,128,000 FCFA embezzled by his employee.
At the end of the proceedings, the public prosecutor requested the application of the law. The court adjourned the case for deliberation.
