The Grand-Yoff district police station arrested two individuals charged with conspiracy and armed robbery committed at night. The two suspects are implicated in an assault that occurred on October 3, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m.

According to information provided by the National Police, the case follows a complaint filed against X by a man who was leaving his home to go to Casamance to assist his pregnant wife.

On his way, he was reportedly approached by an individual who asked him to make a phone call. After declining, he continued on his way. It was then that he was allegedly surprised from behind by this individual and an accomplice, who violently snatched his backpack.

The bag contained, among other things, three mobile phones, including an iPhone 12, a Samsung A15, and an Itel phone, as well as a sum of money. The victim also lost several personal documents, including his national identity card, driver's license, bank card, motorcycle registration document, USB drive, and travel ticket.
