Guédiawaye : 15 tonnes de produits périmés d’une valeur de 22 millions de FCFA détruites
The Guédiawaye Hygiene Service seized and destroyed 15 tons of expired products, with an estimated value of 22 million CFA francs.
The operation, carried out as part of controls aimed at protecting consumers and preserving public health, took place in the presence of several local authorities.
The seized products included, among other things, canned tomatoes, milk, drinks and various food products whose expiry dates had passed.
Their destruction aims to prevent any re-circulation of these unfit-for-consumption foodstuffs and to limit the health risks to which populations could be exposed.
