Keur Ibra Fall (Notto Diobass): Handover of drinking water connections financed by the Sablux Group

Keur Ibra Fall (Notto Diobass) : Réception des branchements d’eau potable financés par Le Groupe Sablux

Through a partnership for local development, the Sablux Group, in collaboration with the Notto Diobass municipality and with the technical support of Aquatech Senegal, the delegated operator of the public water service in rural areas of the Thiès and Diourbel regions, has committed to improving access to drinking water in Keur Ibra Fall. This initiative aligns with the Group's corporate social responsibility approach, which aims to support the communities in which it operates through concrete actions that contribute to the sustainable improvement of the local population's living conditions.

On Friday, September 25, 2026, the official handover (reception) ceremony of the connections to the drinking water network, financed by the Sablux Group, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Keur Ibra Fall, in the commune of Notto Diobass (Department of Thiès), was an opportunity for the mayor, Alioune Sarr and the general manager of Sablux Immobilier, Marc Ndiaye, representative of the Sablux Group, to reflect on the impact of this initiative for the people of the locality in question.

They also discussed the challenges of the "Notto Diobass Smart City" project, which aims to support the sustainable transformation of a territory with strong potential. They emphasized that this initiative addresses a crucial need for the Keur Ibra Fall community by strengthening residents' access to a resource fundamental to human and community development.

Beyond the infrastructure itself, these drinking water connections represent a significant step forward for the village, according to Alioune Sarr and Marc Ndiaye. They note that access to water is indeed a major driver for improving living conditions, family well-being, and the harmonious development of communities.

The managing director of Sablux Immobilier emphasized: “There are achievements whose impact far exceeds their technical dimension, reminding us of a fundamental truth: true progress always begins with what is essential. Water is one of those universal symbols that transcends cultures and generations and accompanies every stage of life. It carries within it a promise: that of a future where every community has the necessary conditions to grow, move forward, and pass on a better living environment to future generations.”

Marc Ndiaye continued: “Today, through this initiative, we are not only celebrating the completion of drinking water connections. We are celebrating a shared commitment: to advance a region, to strengthen the ties between its stakeholders, and to contribute, humbly but concretely, to its development.”

He states that at Sablux, “we are convinced that building also means participating in the emergence of more inclusive, resilient, and pleasant living environments. It means supporting local initiatives, listening to the needs of communities, and acting where our contribution can have a lasting impact.” It is in this spirit, he says, that “we wanted to contribute to the Keur Ibra Fall community by financing these drinking water connections.”

The managing director of Sablux Immobilier noted that "this initiative reflects our commitment to providing long-term support to the communities that host us, always placing people and quality of life at the heart of our initiatives. But this achievement would not have been possible without a collective effort." He then took the opportunity to express his particular gratitude to the mayor of Notto Diobass, Alioune Sarr.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to the former Minister of Commerce for his availability, attentiveness, and commitment to the community. He emphasized that infrastructure only has true meaning when it meets the needs of a community and is supported by those who benefit from it. He also commended the partner Aquatech for their support in bringing this initiative to fruition.

The representative of the Sablux Group hopes that this infrastructure will bring real added value to the daily lives of the inhabitants of Keur Ibra Fall and that it will constitute a new step in the positive dynamic that Sablux wishes to support alongside local stakeholders.
