Keur Massar : Pour une banale histoire autour d’une fosse septique, trois femmes envoyées en prison
On September 24th, members of the Keur Massar gendarmerie brigade brought five women before the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office on charges of mutual assault and battery resulting in temporary incapacity for work (ITT) of 21 and 7 days. The women are K. Kane, M. Ndiaye, A. Keita, A. Pilor, and Nd. P. Keita.
According to the details of the proceedings, it all started with a dispute over the filling of a septic tank. The five women, roommates residing in the same building in Unit 6 of the Parcelles Assainies district of Keur Massar, argued regularly about it.
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, another altercation broke out between the two families. The participants used sticks and kitchen utensils during the fight. K. Kane was injured and issued a medical certificate indicating a 21-day period of temporary incapacity for work.
Separated after the initial altercation, the two men returned to the fray on the night of Tuesday, September 22nd. A new fight broke out between the roommates. Alerted, the gendarmes from the Keur Massar brigade intervened to end the confrontation.
Several people involved were arrested. K. Kane, seriously injured, was taken by firefighters to the Idrissa Pouye General Hospital in Grand-Yoff. She presented herself at the police station the following day, with a new medical certificate indicating a 7-day period of incapacity for work.
During her hearing, K. Kane stated that A. Keita first insulted her before attacking her. She claims that a fight ensued, during which her mother, M. Ndiaye, and her sister, Nd. P. Keita, intervened. She accuses A. Keita (instead of Nd. P. Keita) of biting her right arm.
When questioned in turn, A. Keita admitted to fighting with K. Kane, claiming that the latter had previously insulted her.
For their part, A. Pilor, M. Ndiaye, and Nd. P. Keita admitted to taking part in the fight. All, however, expressed regret for their actions and asked for leniency from the investigators.
Brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office on September 24, 2026, the five women learned their fate: A. Pilor, A. Keita and Nd. P. Keita were placed under arrest warrant for endangering the lives of others and intentional assault and battery.
K. Kane and M. Ndiaye, for their part, were granted provisional release after being charged with the offense of endangering the lives of others.
