Liberté 6 : Un Nigérian arrêté par le GLAD avec de la cocaïne, du crack et du chanvre indien
The National Gendarmerie's Anti-Drug Group (GLAD) arrested a Nigerian national residing in the Liberté 6 district on Monday, September 21, 2026. This operation is part of the fight against drug trafficking.
It all started with a tip-off about a drug trafficking network operating in the SICAP Libertés area. The GLAD (Local Anti-Drug and Smuggling Group) then conducted an operation in the area, leading to the arrest of a Nigerian man residing in Liberté 6. A body search resulted in the seizure of 40 grams of cocaine, 25 balls of crack cocaine , and packaged cannabis, meaning cannabis already prepared for distribution or sale.
This information was provided to Seneweb by Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, head of the Communication and Public Relations Division of the National Gendarmerie. He is also the new commander of the Saint-Louis legion, replacing Colonel Mody Ka, who is taking command of the Kaolack legion.
