The girl was in a relationship with A. Lo, a driver who reportedly lived in the village of Bentegnè . According to the investigation, the two met regularly. In August 2026, the young woman noticed that her period was three months late. She then went to the health center in Boukhou, where the midwife confirmed that she was pregnant.
Determined, according to investigators, to terminate the pregnancy, RN contacted a woman online, reportedly located in Rufisque. This woman allegedly sold her a medication. After taking it, the young woman experienced severe lower abdominal pain. She discreetly went to the bathroom, where she performed an abortion before expelling the fetus. Believing she had avoided suspicion, she placed it in a bucket with a lid next to the toilet, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
On September 18, 2026, around 6:00 p.m., R. Ciss, who lives in the same compound, went to the toilet. When she reached for the bucket, she discovered the fetus. She then informed her family, who notified the neighborhood chief. He, in turn, contacted the police.
Having been informed, the gendarmes arrived on the scene within minutes, accompanied by the head nurse and the midwife. The midwife examined all the girls in the compound on site. The examination revealed signs of obstetric injury on RN, who was immediately taken to the brigade for questioning.
