Nguékhokh : elle reçoit un coup de pilon pour avoir indiqué l’adresse de son frère à...
O. Diouf, a mason by trade, was remanded in custody after being brought before the prosecutor in Mbour. According to L'Observateur, he is accused of hitting his younger sister, M. Diouf, on the head with a pestle.
The incident reportedly stems from a debt of 20,000 CFA francs, according to the same source. The creditor, Nd. Top, had gone to the mason's home in Nguékhokh to demand the sum from his wife. The younger sister, who had given her their address, remained near the house. After an altercation between the creditor and the couple, O. Diouf allegedly saw his sister and accused her of having allowed the woman to find their home.
He then allegedly grabbed a pestle and struck her on the head. Injured, the young woman was taken to the hospital, where a medical certificate indicated a 10-day period of temporary incapacity for work (ITT), according to the newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias. She subsequently filed a complaint with the Nguékhokh gendarmerie brigade. When questioned by investigators, the mason admitted to the assault.
