Sangalkam : Un promoteur immobilier membre de Kiiray aux mains de la justice pour vente illégale de terrains
A new land dispute has rocked the town of Sangalkam. Real estate developer Ousmane Ndiaye was arrested last Thursday by the local gendarmerie. He is accused of selling several plots of land belonging to the heirs of the late Abdourahmane Diop without authorization.
The case dates back to the decision by the Diop family to entrust Ousmane Ndiaye with the management, as their agent, of a land portfolio comprising 64 plots.
However, instead of adhering to the terms of his mandate, the developer allegedly overstepped his authority by selling several plots without the knowledge of the rightful owners. The situation is further complicated by the fact that some of these illegally sold plots are now fully built upon and already occupied by their buyers.
Upon realizing the extent of the damage, the family reacted immediately by requesting the services of a bailiff to draw up a report on the premises, before initiating legal proceedings by filing a formal complaint.
A refusal to comply with summonses
The arrest of the developer was not without incident. Initially summoned by the Sangalkam gendarmerie to explain the charges against him, Ousmane Ndiaye deliberately refused to appear before the investigators.
Faced with his refusal to comply, the police launched a search which led to his location. Arrested last Thursday and taken into custody, he is expected to be brought before the public prosecutor today, barring any last-minute changes.
