Sûreté Urbaine : L’ancienne ministre Victorine Ndéye conteste l’accusation et porte plainte à son tour
Summoned this Thursday to the Dakar Urban Security (SU) headquarters, former minister Victorine Anquediche Ndéye was questioned in connection with a complaint filed against her by her former chief of staff, El Hadji Ibrahima Fall. He accuses her of breach of trust involving 100 million CFA francs. She arrived at the central police station in Dakar around 11:00 AM, accompanied by her lawyer, Ousmane Thiam.
According to Seneweb, the former minister under Macky Sall explained to investigators that the dispute concerns funds intended for political activities during her time at the ministry. She stated that she entrusted the management of this money to her then chief of staff, El Hadji Ibrahima Fall. According to her statements, he subsequently told her that he had injected 80 million FCFA into these funds and that this amount belonged to his father. Victorine Anquediche Ndéye claims she told Ibrahima that she could sell some of her assets to allow him to repay this sum.
But the amount he demanded subsequently changed, rising from 80 to 100 million FCFA. The former minister claims to have finally blocked her former colleague, considering the demands had become too insistent.
Beyond the protests, Victorine Anquediche Ndéye has filed a complaint against El Hadji Ibrahima Fall. She accuses him of extortion and blackmail. According to Seneweb, the complaint was registered with the Urban Security division under reference MT 4013/SU.
After her hearing, the former minister was released, but she remains at the disposal of the justice system for the continuation of the case.
