Thiès : L'escapade alcoolisée de deux amis se termine au tribunal après le vol d’une moto
I. Seck appeared in court for breach of trust, following a complaint filed by his friend C. Thiam. The latter accuses him of having lost his motorcycle, which he had entrusted to him to run an errand.
In court, I. Seck gave his version of events. He explained that he was at C. Thiam's home, where the two friends were drinking alcohol. After finishing one bottle, they decided to buy a second.
“C. Thiam gave me his motorcycle so I could go and get another bottle,” the defendant said.
Upon arriving at the bar, I. Seck claims to have parked the vehicle, leaving the key in the ignition. It was at this point, according to his statements, that a stranger came and took it away.
"I was drunk," he told the judges to justify his negligence.
The defendant thus admits to having left the key on the handlebars, but maintains that the disappearance of the vehicle resulted from theft committed by a third party.
At the conclusion of the proceedings, the public prosecutor requested the application of the law. The court adjourned the case for deliberation.
