Deuxième tour Ligue des champions CAF : Teungueth FC hérite d’un club camerounais
Teungueth FC now knows the identity of its next opponent in the CAF Champions League. After passing the first round against FC Canchungo, the Rufisque club will now have to face Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo, the Cameroonian champions.
Malick Daf's men continue their African adventure with a new and significant challenge. Having defeated FC Canchungo both home and away by the same score of 1-0, Teungueth FC has secured its place in the second preliminary round of the prestigious CAF interclub competition.
To secure a place in the next round, Malick Daf's men must now overcome Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo. The Cameroonian club qualified after a closely contested match against Stade Malien. Following two goalless draws (0-0), the tie was finally decided by a penalty shootout, with Cameroon emerging victorious (4-3).
This two-legged tie promises to be particularly hard-fought between two teams aiming to continue their continental campaign. Teungueth FC will need to rely on their defensive solidity, already displayed in the first round, to gain an advantage before the return leg.
The first leg is scheduled between October 16 and 18, while the return leg will take place between October 23 and 25.
