Élimination Can 2027: Égypte-Angola, Aliou Cissé annonce la couleur avant le choc
On the eve of the duel between Egypt and Angola, counting towards the qualifiers for the 2027 AFCON, Aliou Cissé, coach of the Palancas Negras, displayed his ambitions in a press conference on Thursday, September 24.
The Senegalese coach regrets some absences, particularly for family reasons, but assures that he has a quality squad. "The current squad remains very high level and has many strengths," he declared.
Against the Pharaohs, Cissé is particularly wary of individual talents like Salah, Marmoush, and Hamza. He also admits that he would have preferred to avoid Egypt as the first opponent in the group, despite having players in his squad familiar with the Egyptian league.
The coach also praised Hossam Hassan's work, while stressing the need not to rely on previous encounters between the two teams.
“Tomorrow’s match is completely different from other encounters between Egypt and Angola. It’s one of the most important matches in the group and, for me, it represents a new chapter that has no connection with previous matches,” concluded Aliou Cissé.
