Équipe de France : Kylian Mbappé forfait pour les trois derniers matchs
Zinedine Zidane's first match in charge of the French national team ended in a 1-0 victory against Turkey on Friday, in the opening round of the Nations League. However, this positive evening was overshadowed by an injury to Kylian Mbappé.
The French captain, who scored the only goal of the match early in the second half, had to leave the field after feeling pain in his knee. His departure has caused concern among the French coaching staff.
After the match, Zinedine Zidane expressed concern about his striker's physical condition. "He's not doing well, unfortunately. I think he'll have to come off. We're not going to take any risks," the French coach explained to TF1.
According to Zidane, Mbappé felt pain in his knee when he took the shot. "He experienced a sharp pain in his knee when he took the shot. It's not entirely encouraging," he added.
Unless there is a positive development, the Real Madrid player is expected to leave the French national team camp and return to Spain. He would therefore miss the next three matches of this international break.
