Éthiopie-Sénégal : Vieira veut corriger le tir après le nul contre le Mozambique
On the eve of Senegal's match in Ethiopia, Patrick Vieira anticipates a difficult encounter. The Lions' coach, however, emphasizes the importance of playing conditions, the team's recovery, and above all, the need to convert chances after the 1-1 draw against Mozambique.
"We expect a complicated, difficult match. There are no easy matches at this level," the French coach warned.
But Vieira is particularly pleased to be able to play in a stadium with a good pitch. "The big satisfaction is that we're going to play in a real stadium with a real pitch. It's an advantage, something really positive," he emphasized.
The coach is counting on better conditions to allow his players to increase their intensity and better exploit the opportunities they create. "Our organization will allow us to play with a lot of intensity, to increase the intensity of our last match and above all to finish, to capitalize on the opportunities we created against Mozambique," he explained.
When asked about the impact of the Lions' long journey, less than 24 hours before the match, Patrick Vieira sought to reassure everyone. "There won't be any problem in that regard. The team will be competitive tactically, physically, and mentally," the coach asserted.

The coach highlighted several positive aspects of the Lions' first outing under his leadership, particularly their first half in Maputo. "Against Mozambique, there were some very positive things, especially in that first half. It will be important for us to continue playing with much more intensity and try to capitalize on the chances we created," concluded Patrick Vieira.
