After a convincing run, Senegal and Gambia will meet this Sunday, September 20th at 7:00 PM at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium, in the final of the WAFU/A U17 tournament. A match that promises an intense duel between two teams that know each other very well.

The two teams had already faced each other in the group stage, with a 0-0 draw. This time, a winner is essential to lift the trophy. The Young Lions, the reigning African champions, approach this final with the ambition of confirming their status, but will have to be wary of a Gambian team that has demonstrated since the start of the competition that it has what it takes to compete with the best.

This final will also be marked by a duel between two young strikers. Senegal's Cheikh Oumar Sy and Gambia's Alieu Saine each have four goals and are vying for the top spot in the goalscoring charts. Both talents will therefore have a dual motivation: to help their national teams win and to claim the title of top scorer.

Between two ambitious teams, promising talents and a rematch of the group stage draw, all the ingredients are there for a great final at the Léopold Sédar Senghor stadium between the neighbours.
