Spanish League: Mbappé carries Real Madrid and defeats Barça

Real Madrid made a significant statement in the first half of the season by defeating FC Barcelona 2-1 at the Camp Nou on Sunday in the 10th round of La Liga. Thanks to a brace from Kylian Mbappé, Los Blancos won a hard-fought Clasico and dealt a blow to Barcelona's ambitions.

In a cauldron of noise at the Camp Nou, Barcelona tried to impose their rhythm from the opening minutes by dominating possession. But Real Madrid, far from being subdued, gradually responded with a more aggressive presence in the duels. Despite the intensity and commitment of both teams, clear-cut chances were few and far between. Raphinha, in particular, tried to make the difference on two occasions, but failed to hit the target.

Just when the match seemed to be getting bogged down, Real Madrid finally found the breakthrough just before halftime. In the 41st minute, from a Diomandé cross, Gerrard Martin inadvertently deflected the ball towards Kylian Mbappé, whose shot found the back of the net (0-1). A fortunate goal for the French striker, which gave Real Madrid the lead. Barcelona could have responded before halftime, but Yamal missed a good opportunity against Lunin.

After the break, Barcelona showed renewed determination to get back into the game. This attacking intent, however, left gaps that Real Madrid could have exploited, but Bellingham failed to capitalize on two promising counter-attacking opportunities.

Catalan perseverance was finally rewarded in the 61st minute. From a quickly taken corner, Pedri perfectly set up Raphinha, who finished with a powerful shot in the box to level the score (1-1).

The game then became a frantic affair. García had to make a crucial save to deny Güler a long-range effort, while Lunin made a vital stop from a Gerrard Martin header. Despite increasing pressure from Barça in the final minutes, Real Madrid held firm before delivering the decisive blow.

In the 88th minute, Eduardo Camavinga showcased his pace and skill, creating space and setting up Mbappé for a decisive opportunity. The French striker made no mistake, scoring the winning goal (1-2) and sealing the victory for Real Madrid.

Thanks to this victory at the Camp Nou, Real Madrid leaves with three valuable points and confirms its ambitions in La Liga. Scoring twice, Mbappé once again establishes himself as the key player for Los Blancos, while Barça will need to bounce back quickly after this second consecutive defeat in all competitions.
