Ligue des nations : Klopp décroche sa première victoire avec l’Allemagne, le Portugal gagne sans Ronaldo
It took until his third match for Jürgen Klopp to secure his first victory in charge of the German national team. At Munich's Allianz Arena, Germany defeated Serbia 2-0.
Tom Bischof opened the scoring for Germany, powerfully converting a rebound after a poor clearance by the Serbian defense (39th minute). Dominant throughout, Klopp's men doubled their lead in the second half through Florian Wirtz. The Liverpool midfielder, perfectly set up by Mittelstädt, bamboozled a defender before calmly slotting the ball home (61st minute).
Jürgen Klopp thus secures his very first victory as head of the German national team.
In the same group A1, Greece were held to a draw by the Netherlands (2-2). The Dutch, who were down (2-0) at halftime after goals from Ioannidis (23rd) and Masouras (45+2), managed to equalize through Van Djib (59th) and Tijani Reijnders (89th).
In the middle of the Ronaldo affair, Portugal won in Denmark (3-2). Without its star striker, the Seleção made the difference thanks to João Cancelo (13th), Gonçalo Ramos (25th), Vitinha (67th) and João Félix (87th).
On the road in Wales, Norway suffered a second consecutive defeat (2-1) while Ireland and Austria drew (2-2).
