According to information reported this Tuesday by "L'Équipe", the Senegalese international was allegedly pressured by a former agent, who sought to obtain a commission on his transfer to Neom.

The affair reportedly began in late July in Marbella, Spain. While sharing dinner with two of his new teammates at a five-star establishment, Malang Sarr allegedly saw several French individuals burst into the restaurant.

According to several accounts cited by the French daily newspaper, the men then led the player to the hotel bar. Some witnesses even mention a slap inflicted on the defender. Malang Sarr, however, reportedly denied this version of events.

A disagreement over his transfer

The incident stemmed from a financial dispute related to the player's arrival at Neom SC. His former advisor reportedly felt entitled to a share of the transfer fee and was unhappy that Malang appeared alongside an agent mandated by the Saudi club during the finalization of his transfer.

The defender reportedly had a heated argument with those involved. Alerted to the situation, Neom SC officials contacted the police. However, the individuals in question apparently left the hotel before the police arrived, particularly after noticing the presence of security cameras.

The dispute has reportedly subsided. However, Malang Sarr is said to have refused to pay any money to his former advisor.

Despite the seriousness of the reported facts, the defender reportedly did not file a complaint and chose to focus on his new adventure in Saudi Arabia.

Arriving with high expectations after his time at Chelsea, Monaco, and Lens, Malang Sarr is now trying to revive his career away from Europe, playing for Neom.
