Grand Magal 2026 : Auchan renouvelle sa contribution auprès du khalife général des Mourides
As the Grand Magal of Touba approaches, a delegation from Auchan visited Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, the general khalifa of the Mourides, to pay their respects and contribute to the 2026 edition of the event.
The delegation was received successively by the general caliph himself, then by his spokesperson, Serigne Bassirou Abdou Khadr Mbacké.
On this occasion, food items, including sugar, chocolate, mayonnaise and various other products, were handed over to accompany the celebration of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba's departure into exile.
Speaking after the meeting, Mbaye Mbow, director of the Auchan store in Mbacké, recalled that this approach was in line with a tradition now firmly established in the brand's culture.
He stressed that this gesture symbolized Auchan's commitment to the Mouride community, as well as other religious communities in Senegal.
In return, the Caliph General and his spokesman offered prayers and expressed their gratitude to the delegation for its contribution.
