« Le rôle finit par nous rattraper » : Les confidences de Fatou Jupiter Touré sur son métier d'actrice
Invited to the Sitöé program dedicated to female leadership, actress, screenwriter, and producer Fatou Jupiter Touré spoke candidly about her profession, which consists of "playing a role." An exercise in interpretation that, she says, doesn't always end behind the curtain.
Superstitious, some professionals even reject certain characters for fear that fiction might become prophecy. Because, according to her, "sometimes the role we play ends up catching up with us offstage. It's happened to me several times," she admits. A disturbing resonance between art and destiny, where the line between actress and woman blurs.
