Drug enforcement: Jakarta motorcycle drivers mobilize to raise awareness among young people in Bignona

The fight against drugs is taking a new turn in the department of Bignona. Jakarta motorcycle drivers, omnipresent in the daily lives of residents, have decided to use their visibility and proximity to serve a vital cause: raising awareness against drug use.

Under the leadership of their general secretary, Lansana Camara, the Jakarta motorcycle taxi drivers are displaying unwavering determination. "It's not money that concerns us, but the fate of our brothers and sisters. We must act with faith and perseverance to protect our communities," he declared at a meeting. Present in every neighborhood, in direct contact with young people, these drivers are becoming powerful agents of prevention and awareness.

This mobilization benefits from the support of the Urokaal association, chaired by Moussa Bodian, who emphasizes the collective dimension of this fight. "Through their commitment, the Jakarta community strengthens the synergy and gives a concrete face to community mobilization," he stresses. The association, whose name means "work" in Diola, has partnered with the Interministerial Committee for the Fight Against Drugs, local authorities, and security forces to amplify the impact of the actions undertaken.

Beyond rhetoric, this initiative reflects a shared determination: to stand firm against drug addiction. Jakarta's motorcycle taxi drivers, through their visibility and daily interaction with the public, are becoming ambassadors for raising awareness. Their involvement demonstrates that the fight against drugs can only be won through constant and collective mobilization.

In Bignona, the battle has begun. The Jakarta, alongside the Urokaal association and the authorities, are carrying the torch of resistance against drugs high, for a healthier and safer future.
