«Tout ce qui a été dit malheureusement c’est vrai…» : Les révélations de Ibrahima Mboup de la Rts sur les problèmes dans la tanière…
The latest information regarding the situation at the training camp has been controversial since Friday. On Saturday, Ibrahima Mboup, a journalist with RTS, confirmed this information.
“I confirm that everything that was said, unfortunately, in that paper, is the truth. Because I was able, afterwards, to cross-check all this information with credible sources, generally very well informed, within the camp and the official delegation,” Mr. Mboup said during Saturday’s Mondial Afterwork program.
Regarding financial matters, he clarifies: "The Lions' qualification bonuses have not yet been paid. That's the truth. These are things that should have been dealt with before the competition. Because the World Cup qualifiers ended a long time ago."
Regarding Pape Thiaw's contract, the problem had leaked even before his departure for the USA. Things are reportedly stalled at the official level: "According to sources I've consulted, Pape Thiaw asked for a salary of 50 million per month, while the state cannot exceed 30 million. That's where the problem lies, according to my sources," Mboup stated.
The issue of the Lions' food was also raised. Ibrahima Mboup confirmed this as well: "I spoke with some football personalities who initially stayed at this hotel. They had to leave because the food stored there wasn't of good quality. This perhaps led the players to order from outside in order to eat properly."
The journalist reveals that the head chef of the lion's den was unable to make the trip due to visa issues. "There will inevitably be consequences for the lions' food," he says.
